April 28th - 30th, 2017

The introduction of SPRING to replace Painting on the Green was a decision based on making changes to our show to attract a more diverse presentation of artists. It was felt that Painting on the Green running for 56 years with very little change had run its course. The name itself tended to lean heavily toward painted works and we felt that it had a negative impact on potential artists entering from other disciplines. While we still want our valued painters to enter the show, we would like to encourage a far larger input from photographers, crafters and other three dimensional visual artists than has been occuring in recent years.

Art appreciators are as diverse in their tastes as artists are in their presentations. It is our desire to present a more balanced show in future to showcase a broader spectrum of the wonderful talent that is all around us for both the artists and viewers.

The 2017 Art Show and Sale will be held at the Old Quebec Street Shoppes in beautiful downtown Guelph, Ontario.
